Hours done: 3
On March 19, 2013 I went to the clinic again. I had to put a
blood glucose meter which reads your sugar level, test strips which collects
the blood sample, a lancet which is like a needle, and a lacing device which is
the machine to poke your finger with, all in a yellow bag. These bags are going
to be given to the patients with diabetes. Through out the week I had to
practice to take my sugar and be sure how to use it, because I might help my
mentor to show her patients how to use it. I was scared to poke myself because I thought it
was going to hurt but it didn’t hurt how I thought it would. After the first time, it got easier and I feel
confident to do it.
Total Hours: 12
