Google Search
I was told by my teacher to search a question on Google. The question was; how
do the democratic and republican positions on the “Fiscal Cliff” differ? There was
a method to this question; I was supposed to get the least results as possible.
She gave us a lesson so we knew how to do it. When we typed the question in
Google we had a lot of ways that we could get very little results. For example
if there was an “and” or an “or” we have to capitalize them for example AND,
OR. Another way is you could put a minus sign (-) in front of something that
you don’t want. For example when I search the question a lot of results came up
with opinions from twitter, since I didn’t want that kind of information I put,
–twitter and with that no more twitter came up. The minus sign (-) means not. Another
way was that in search tools I could choose from what time and what kind of
results for example sites with images, related searches, visited pages, etc. This
is going to help you to get the right information you need/want and also it was
going to give you the least results and that’s what I wanted. When I was
searching this I put; democratic AND republican positions in fiscal
cliff -twikle -facebook -perspectives -daily –image -video -blog -tumblr
-research –twitter, with this I got very little results.

Anakin's Journey
Hero's are not always successful in
their hero journey. In the movie Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, the
hero is Anakin Skywalker and his a fallen hero. He starts off as a nice Jedi
and just wants to save his love ones but he ends up being a bad guy, the Darth
Vader. In Anakin's journey he made several conscious decisions that lead him to
become Darth Vader.
One of Anakin's conscious decisions
is that he killed Mace Windu. Mace Windu was a Jedi Master and one of the last
members of the Jedi Council. Mace was fighting with Chancellor Palpatine the
master and also known as Darth Sidious. When they were fighting Anakin came in
and saw. They were fighting because Palpatine was betraying the Jedi's and Mace
was protecting them. When the fight ended Anakin killed Mace and saved
Palpatine even though he was destroyed. He did this because Palpatine told him
that he could save his wife Padme from dyeing when she gives birth. Anakin believed
him and he thought Palpatine was really going to save her, but he didn’t,
Palpatine just tricked him and Padme dies when she gives birth.
Anakin's second decision was that he
went to the temple and killed all the humans that were training for Jedi’s, including
the little kids. Palpatine send him to kill them because they were going to be
the future Jedi’s. And Palpatine wanted to rule the Galaxy. Anakin listened to
him because of the same reason I explained above. Palpatine told Anakin that he
would save Padme from death, and Anakin wouldn't listen then his wife was going
to die. Anakin loved his wife and that’s why he preferred to betray the Jedi’s
and listen to Palpatine because it was the only way he could save Padme from
death.
Anakin did several decisions that
were causing him not to be a Jedi anymore. he still had a chance to remain a
Jedi but he didn’t take advantage of it. When Palpatine and Windu finished
fighting, Anakin killed Windu to save Palpatine. He did this so Palpatine could
save Padme from dyeing. Anakin believed him and he killed Windu. But Palpatine
just lied to him so Anakin cold listen to him. After he killed Windu he didn’t
have anymore chances to remain a Jedi.
Being a hero is very difficult
because you have to make hard decisions. Some hero's want to be successful but
during their journey they fall and can’t get back up like Anakin. The decisions
he made caused him to fall and become Darth Vader, all he wanted to do was to
save his love, Padme but he failed to.

Proposition 34
Proposition 34 is when their going to give prison to the prisoners instead of the death penalty. There are several pros for proposition 34. One of them is that it’s going to safe California taxpayers a lot of money. The death penalty is more expensive then life in prison. I also think that the people suffer more in prison so they deserve being in prison for the rest of their life. And some of the funds will go toward law enforcement to solve more murders and rapes, because a lot of this problems finish unsolved because lack of money. Another important pros is that it could eliminate the executing of innocent people and California is going o be safe.
The cons of proposition 34 are that the jails are going to be fuller because of the prisoners that were going to get death penalty are now going to spend their life in prison.
If I would to vote I would vote yes on proposition 34 because it will safe a lot of money and California will be safe. The funds will help to find and solve the murder and rapes problems. And the prisoners will suffer more in prison.

Life in the Canterbury Tales
There’s different life’s in the Canterbury Tales. You can be rich or poor. For example a knight, a king, the queen, priest (monk), etc. Several people have different aspects about every character. If I would lived in the middle ages I would have liked to be the Queen.
Being a Queen seems like a good life. I would live in Spain in the castle with my husband and my kids. I would have two boys and two girls; we would hang out everyday together and do things together. The plans I have for the future are to get my children to have a good education and to be good people. The only job I would have is to take care of my kids. I wouldn’t need to work because were rich. But just because were rich that doesn’t mean we could get everything I want, we still have to save up money for emergencies. I don’t think we would face challenges because we would have people working for us and they could solve them for us. The things I would value more are my family, religion, and culture. I would want my children to grow up in a religious family and to not forget their culture and where they come from. The world around us is very good, because a lot of people like us and we help the people that need help. We are not selfish.
The queen may be helpful to others in the country. To people in the towns that are poor and that need help. She’s not selfish, she’s really respectful and she’s has manners. All the people like her because she’s really nice. That would be my life in the Canterbury Tales.

Canterbury Tales
My character is Oxfrod Cerlic from Canterbury tales. His a man that loves learning and teaching. He doesn’t have a lot of money; he borrows money from his friends for him to be able to buy books. He rather buy books then food or clothes. He doesn’t use fancy clothes he sometimes uses clothes that peasants wear. His also very quiet, he only speaks whenever he needs too otherwise he doesn’t at all.

The American Dream
Everyone has a dream! Most of the people think about the American Dream and specially those who come from another country. It’s a new beginning to follow your dreams and be successful in life. I believe in the American dream and I want to achieve it.
My American Dream is to be happy and do what I like to do. I want to have a good career, so I could be bale to have my own house and my own car. I want a good education so I could be successful in life. I also want to have money so I could have whatever I want. I want a healthy and happy family.
To achieve my American dream is going to be difficult because a lot of students that finish their career, its hard for them to get a job that they study for. Theirs several reasons why it’s hard. The first important one is the economy. Like how Elena Callan stated in the article “Generation Screwed,” “I studied sociology, which was great for my brain but not great for this economy…it does feel I’m stuck in some part-time jobs.”
Even thought it’s hard to get a job in what you studied for, I’m not going to stop from studying. Theirs always going to be obstacles that are going to make you stop for what you’re going to but I’m going to overcome them so I could be successful. It’s not going to be easy to achieve my goals but I will try my best and I will take advantage of the opportunities I get.
To be successful in life you have to follow and achieve the American Dream. It’s a way to be happy in life and not suffer. A lot of people come to the USA just for the American Dream and to have a better life. It’s getting harder to achieve it but you have to try your best and overcome any obstacle that come up.

Highlights of My Senior Year!
I have several highlights of my senior year. One important and exciting highlight is Senior Ball. It’s important and exciting because I’m going to be with my friends and have fun and I’m also going to choose the right person to take as my date. Another one is I’m going to play in soccer for my fourth year in varsity. The last important highlight is the day of my graduation. That’s going to be a special night because I’m going to graduate and it's going to be a new beginning of my life going into college.
College Acceptance
To go into college, you need to meet several requirements. Throughout your high school years you have to take specific classes and get good grades to be able to get accepted into college. College is very important because it’s the beginning of your career. I think colleges have the right to deny you even though they have already accepted, when you have bad grades on your senior year because you have to try your best all four years, other students try their best to go into college but can’t because that person could take away their spot.
Just because you’re a senior doesn’t mean you don’t have to try your best and let your grades go down. Colleges require good grades all four years; seniors have to work harder on their senior year so they won’t get denied from having bad grades, because they could take someone else’s spot.
Theirs other students that try their best all four years and pass their classes but when they apply to colleges they don’t get accepted because theirs no more spots, and some spots could have been taken by a senior that didn’t do good on their senior year and that’s not fair. Colleges should accept students that have been doing well all four years and specially their senior year. Colleges have the right to deny students that have been already accepted if they drop their grades on their senior year.
