Hours Done: 1
On March 5, 2013 I did another hour. I went from 3:10-4:10.
When I got there was two little kids outside, a little girl and a little boy. I
got some books and I told them if they wanted to read, the little boy said no
and the little girl only wanted to read two books. There are a lot of kids that
don’t like to read. My mentor said that they been having the same books over a
year because the parents don’t accept the books that are given to them because
they say that their children don’t like reading. I think that this is not good
because they’re not going to like school. The parents should accept the books
and read to them even if they don’t want. After I did this my mentor told me to
put some things in order and stack them together. The problem I’m still having
is that I’m really shy with the other nurses. That’s the biggest problem I have, I try to
not be shy and to make a conversation to get along with them. All the nurses
are really nice and outgoing. One of my goals is to not be shy a lot.
