Hours Done: 4
On April 5, 2013 I went to South San Francisco Clinic from
8:00 am to 12:00 pm. My mentor had more patients come in to show them how to
use the Blood Glucose Monitoring System. We did the same thing as last week; we
helped them program the machine and also showed them how to use it. It was
easier for me because I had done this the other week and I knew how to do it
perfectly. I also learned that diabetes
is very dangerous to have because you could go blind and your nerves that are
the farthest from your heart can dye faster and these are your toes and your
kidneys. The number of people having diabetes
is increasing. People with diabetes have to eat health, drink a lot of water,
and walk at least an hour every day. They
have to check their sugar at least twice a day so they could have their sugar
controlled. Your sugar has to be between 90-130, this is normal. I learned that I have to take care of myself, by
eating healthy and doing exercise. Taking
care of your body is very important.
Total Hours; 17
